With the release of 3.07, we had a few users report troubles with proxy servers and slow searches for files that needed to be backed up. Before activating the automatic updates, we felt it best to get to the bottom of these issues.
For those who were experiencing 3.07 headaches, Version 3.08 should fix you right up. We’ll plan to switch on those automatic updates next week — so Windows and Mac users who don’t wish to download now, can wait until the software prompts you.
Once again, a big “thank you” goes out to our customers for all of the great feedback!

The windows download links are bad.

This release still doesn’t fix the proxy issues. If you install and run without a proxy, it just hangs when you start using a proxy – constantly displaying ‘connecting’ but never actually succeeding. I have had to kill the JD process – you can’t even open the Configure window to enable/disable the proxy.
Has nobody tested the behaviour when moving from no proxy to proxy (or the other way)?
This is very basic stuff. If it’s not fixed pretty quickly then I’ll uninstall permanently.

I’m still not being prompted to download 3.08. It’s been almost a month since 3.08 was released. Does 3.08 have an issue or is it safe to manually download the update?

Auto update should now be live. You can use the check for update option under the Help menu.

I had no problems with 3.07. Zero.
3.08 now keeps trying to connect to my VPN connections rather than my plain vanilla ethernet.
I tried uninstalling/reinstalling, but I still have the same issue, PLUS it does not recognize my password, even with a password reset.
I am now looking for a link to 3.07.
Bah.
