congrats – will you be covering other smartphone platforms too? I know iPhones are everywhere and sales are growing but they’re still a distinctly minority platform in overall terms

I just installed the app and put in my Jungle Disk password. It listed my online disks correctly and asked me for the password to each. After I put in the password for each disk, it just shows me a blank screen with a “Forget Password” button at the top. I’ve retyped the passwords 3 times so I know they’re correct and I assume the “Forget password” button means it’s been accepted. But there is nothing on the screen below that. Am I doing something wrong?

@Chris – We already offer web access so any browser compatible phone does currently have access. As far as native apps, we are indeed exploring other platforms.

I cannot seem to login to the iPhone app. I am using my e-mail address as my username, and my JungleDisk password. I keep getting “Login Error, Unknown Login username.” When I attempt to connect.

It looks like the iphone app does not work for us “old school” users with a “Desktop Edition – Lifetime” license.
Hopefully, in a future release I will be able to enter my s3 keys into the iphone app to get my data on the go.
Scott Gibson said,

@Chris – Just enter your personal S3 data here and you can get access to those as well: https://www.jungledisk.com/secure/account/awsaccounts.aspx

I don’t give my s3 credentials to anyone or to servers I don’t have direct control over. thanks for the suggestion though.

One of the best apps yet. I have been using JD / amazon s3 for over 3 years and completely rely on it. The ability to get files from my laptop to my iphone aywhere is invaluable. The ‘email a file’ is particularly ingenuous. Well done.

Yep, I have Desktop Lifetime editon and it also tells me that i dont have any subscriptions.
Scott Gibson said,
March 31, 2010 @ 5:05 pm
Please note that Lifetime Subscriptions require the Jungle Disk Plus subscription for the iPhone App to access the online disks. Since the iPhone app utilizes WebDAV as the communication protocol, you would need web access enabled on your account. To add the Jungle Disk Plus subscription, follow this link, https://www.jungledisk.com/secure/account/PlusUpgrade.aspx.

I am a lifetime user and have the Jungle Disk app working perfectly (via JD Plus sub). One quirk I see is that mp3 music files seem to play fine but m4a files do not. When I click on them I just get a white screen with a Back button. Also, any future update to allow us to play a folder of music instead of track-at-a-time?

its only for “Legacy Backup” items???
Scott Gibson said,
April 1, 2010 @ 1:30 pm
@Diego Yes. Backup Vaults are not accessible in web access either. More details about the differences between Legacy & Backup Vaults here: http://support.jungledisk.com/forums/30233/entries/82586

How about MySecureBackup users? The app won’t let mr authenticate using MSB credentials. It just says username unknown.
Scott Gibson said,
April 1, 2010 @ 4:04 pm
@Jory – We do not have plans to support a white label version of the iPhone app. It becomes impossible to do so as the company details are all over the place within the product due to the transparency required for submitting the apps to iTunes.
Jory said,
April 1, 2010 @ 4:52 pm
@Scott – No worries, I didn’t expect an MSB app. But is there any way to get the JungleDisk app configured to access my online disks in my reseller account?

Your iPhone app extends the usefulness of my iPhone 1,000 times over. Essentially, you’ve given my iPhone a usable “hard drive.” Kick ass.

Just tried installing and using your iPhone app with my workgroup version of jungledisk. Despite repeated attempts, all I get is ‘Login Error Unkown login username”. I’ve double checked the domain and username from my workgroup application settings and they appear to be correct. Any suggestions? Would love to access my jungledrive files from my iPhone.
