Running the new Beta on my IBM Thinkpad T-41 and JungleDisk as a Service. The T-41 no longer enters Hibernate when I close the cover. The power settings still specify Hibernate on Cover Close but nothing happens when Jungledisk as a service is running and I close the cover. I went back to 2.10a and Hibernate on cover close works as expected.

What about being able to use Jungle Disk as a system service without using srvany or a third party tool?

@Mac – This can be done in the current version under Add Bucket in the configuration dialog (enable advanced options)

@Alexandroid – Yes

@Simon – That can occur on some systems due to issues with WebDAV. Once the 2.49c beta is released please try it and let us know if it fixes your issue.

Does “native filesystem integration on Windows” mean that the mapped drive will no longer give used/free space that mirrors the C: drive? If so, when can we expect this? I’ve been holding off on rolling out JD (and possibly the Workgroup version) to my users as the used/free space thing is confusing.

Hi there,

I’m having troubles with office documents on the jungle disk. Mostly Word documents.
When i try to open a Word document thats on jungle disk, the pc freezes.
ctrl-alt-del is the answer to stop this.
When i open that same document from a local drive, all goes well.
I have only tested this with XP pc’s and office 2003/07

Wow, so does this new file system integration will eliminate restrictions of WebDAV, like inability to run programs or batch scripts from Jungle drive?

@Brian – Yes, you can just turn on the features.

@Chuck – We’re aware of that issue, and it’s one of the main reasons we’re still working on the Mac native integration.
