Will 2.0 have "server mode" backup whereby it will operate as a daemon on OS X so that I don't have to leave the backup machine logged-in?

Will JD 2.0 include native filesystem support (for Windows)? I'm hoping it will also coincide with the option to run as a service for better reliability...

@Mark - compatible buckets allow you to share your data between different S3 tools, and to make it public if you change your ACLs using one of those tools. We won't restrict you from changing the ACLs and will probably even provide instructions to do so, we just don't want to make it so simple that users start accidentally making their personal data public.

Exciting! The JD team is really setting a good example by incorporating so much user feedback as product development moves forward. I'm already a big fan of JD, but these new features are great and should make it an easy sell to a lot more people.

I'm sure there's a better place to say this, but I worry when I'm backing up my 80 gigs or so that JD is really done when it says it's done. Some sort of user-initiated confirmation that such and such directories are actually mirrored in these locations would really make me feel better.

Anyway, thanks for all the work so far, I can't wait for the new release!
